After 20 years as Studio 920 in Maitland,
Florida; I moved the studio out west to a small town West of Clermont. Traffic
is not as crazy as Orlando and there is still some wide open spaces out here. (Just don't tell anyone or they too will want to move out here in the country.)
Studio 920 as a name didn't make sense
since the address is now 14420 and I wanted to give it a more personal name,
so one day as I was working on my computer during a thunderstorm, the power
went out and I noticed how loud the storm was. It didn't do any damage,
but it sure was loud enough to scare me down to my bones. That was when I realized storms are a lot louder in the hills then
in the city. (And out
here, this area is full of hills.) We had thought of thunderhill
for a name, but that was squashed by another art house with the same name, so Stormhill it is..
Life here is slower, quieter and you should see the stars at night. There
are no city lights here to take that away.
